The Delegation from The University of Manchester Visited Zhejiang University School of Medicine

On October 22th, a delegation from School of Life Science, the University of Manchester visited Zhejiang University School of Medicine. The delegation included Robert Ford, the vice dean of School of Life Science and QingJun Meng who is a research fellow. Xiaoming Li, the associate dean of International Affairs and Graduate Study played host to the delegation.
After giving a brief introduction to each school, the two parties discussed the possibility of jointly-cultivated Ph.D. program, exchanging program of undergraduates as well as cooperative education program.
The University of Manchester is one of the eight top world-ranking universities in UK, and it is among the top 50 universities worldwide. The university is ranked as the top one among the six” Red Brick University,” and it is also a founding member of The Russell Group which is considered as the “Ivy League” in UK. The University of Manchester was founded in 1824, and it is located in the city of Manchester, which is the second busiest city in the country. 25 Noble Prize Winners are the alumni of the University of Manchester.
