Researchers from Cancer Institute, the Second Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University School of Medicine (Prof. Jian Huang group) and University of Louisville School of Medicine (Prof. Jun Yan) found that human colorectal cancer (CRC) infiltrating γδT17 cells played a critical role in tumor immunosuppression. Moreover, they uncovered an inflammatory DC-γδT17-PMN-MDSC regulatory axis in human CRC that correlated MDSC-meditated immunosuppression with tumor-elicited inflammation. These findings were published as the cover story in Immunity on May 15 ,2014 .
